We are currently looking for a technical and business savvy sales engineer to join our APAC sales team in Australia. Candidates should be located in Sydney.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will provide highly technical customer support for all LifeSize products. This position interacts with customers and potential customers to insure smooth product evaluation, deployment, and end-user success. You will have an ongoing relationship with LifeSize customers to research and resolve reported problems, diagnose potential problems, and provide a constant point of contact for all product feedback.

Additionally, you will ensure total customer satisfaction with the customer’s implementation experience through the execution of product evaluations and installations, the delivery of training and consulting on customer solutions and post implementation support.

Our products are under rapid development, and our technology and industry change quickly. Ideal candidates will demonstrate the ability to adapt and learn new technologies and techniques quickly and grow as our company grows.

Quailifications:

Proven spoken and written English skills, ability to demonstrate a business and technical level proficiency as a 2nd language is mandatory, other languages an advantage
Demonstrated understanding of the TCP/IP networking stack and modern networking techniques: Classless routing, routing protocols, TCP windowing, NAT design, etc
Proven understanding of firewall equipment and the principles of firewall design
Experience with Cisco Router equipment and operation. Holds at least a CCNA certification, or can demonstrate the ability to proficiently configure a Cisco Router on day of interview
Strong understanding of VoIP technologies and how they are employed is required: SIP and H.323, various audio compression techniques, RTP
Ability to create, support and troubleshoot scripts in an applicable language (WSH, bash, Perl or similar)
Well versed in the MS Windows (NT,Win2K,and XP) environment from an operational as well as sys admin perspective. Must understand and be able to both manipulate and troubleshoot Windows Server components including but not limited to DNS, WINS, FTP, Internet Services, and Active Directory
Experience with Microsoft Office Communications Server a plus
Prior experience in at least 3 different Corporate Enterprise environments (over 1000 users) in at least 2 different industries required
Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high degree of personal initiative and self-motivation
Ability to practice excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced environment
Must work easily as a member of a team or independently and prioritize workflow based on urgency and customer knowledge
Resolve end-user problems calls, in-house or over the telephone when users are connected remotely via VPN in a timely manner
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff
A basic understanding of software design – must be able to converse intelligently with software engineers
Ability to properly track, document and communicate problems, resolutions and action items to the customer and management
Ability to help close deals with or without the aid of a sales person; must demonstrate the ability to close deals and present a solution to customers at the interview.
Undergraduate degree in Science, Mathematics or Computer Science
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally. A full passport and driving license is required for this position.
Desired skills:

Understanding of IP video, H.264 compression and streaming media preferred
Experience in broadcast or professional video or audio in a technical role a strong plus: NLEs, Online editing suites, DAWs, video routing and switching, or camera work and lighting; however, not mandatory
Previous presales management experience a plus
